What is LOCAL?
The LOCAL, or Linking Opportunities to Classrooms and Learners, is a new "Adopt-A-School/Classroom" style program designed to strengthen partnerships between Charleston County School District and local businesses and community organizations.
By becoming a LOCAL, organizations can adopt a school or classroom to provide valuable resources, experiences, and support that help ensure students and teachers thrive.

We invite you to join LOCAL (Linking Opportunities to Classrooms and Learners), a partnership initiative connecting businesses with schools based on the expertise and passions of the partner, and identified needs of the school. From volunteerism to the donation of goods or services, the opportunities to get involved are endless. Your support is integral to our children’s success and will help shape our community’s next generation of leaders.
Let’s work together to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. Become a LOCAL and create waves of change to positively impact the lives of Charleston’s children today!
